- Western shirt. Wrist-length sleeved shirt with collar and cuffs. No rolled up sleeves.
- Western boots must be worn and sneaker type "sport shoes" are not acceptable footwear.
- No sweatshirts, t-shirts or pullovers allowed, unless otherwise waived by the association for special weather conditions
- Cowboy hat. Helmets may be worn in lieu of western hats while in competition.
- Contestant Back #'s must be visible at all times. Unless otherwise waived by association for special weather conditions.
